Welcome to Roughton

Roughton is a small village located in the county of Shropshire, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles east of the town of Much Wenlock and 7 miles south of the county town of Shrewsbury. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is home to a number of historic buildings and landmarks, including the Grade II listed Roughton Hall.

Roughton Hall is a stunning Georgian mansion that was built in the early 18th century. The hall is set in 20 acres of parkland and gardens and is surrounded by a moat. The building has been beautifully preserved and is now used as a wedding and events venue. The hall is also home to a number of holiday cottages, which are available to rent throughout the year.

The village of Roughton is also home to a number of other historic buildings, including the Grade II listed Roughton Cottage and the 16th century Roughton Old Hall. The village is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists, with a number of scenic routes passing through the surrounding countryside. The village also has a number of local amenities, including a village hall, a post office, and a pub.
