Welcome to Carrington

Carrington is a small village located in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It is situated approximately 5 miles north of Nottingham city centre and is surrounded by the villages of Mapperley, Woodthorpe, and Sherwood. The village has a population of around 1,500 people and is known for its beautiful countryside, historic buildings, and friendly community.

One of the most notable landmarks in Carrington is the St. John the Evangelist Church, which dates back to the 12th century. The church is a Grade II listed building and features a stunning Norman doorway, a 14th-century font, and a 15th-century tower. The church is still in use today and holds regular services, as well as hosting community events and concerts throughout the year.

Carrington is also home to a number of local businesses, including a post office, a convenience store, and several pubs and restaurants. The village has a strong sense of community, with many residents actively involved in local groups and organizations.
