Welcome to Everton

Everton is a small village located in the county of Lancashire, England. It is situated on the eastern bank of the River Mersey, just north of Liverpool. The village has a rich history dating back to the 12th century when it was known as "Everton-in-the-Clay". The name Everton is believed to have originated from the Old English words "eofor" meaning wild boar and "tun" meaning farmstead or settlement.

One of the most notable landmarks in Everton is St. George's Church, which was built in the 19th century. The church is a Grade II listed building and features a beautiful stained glass window designed by the famous artist Edward Burne-Jones. Another notable feature of the village is the Everton Water Tower, which was built in 1897 and is still in use today. The tower stands at 150 feet tall and provides water to the surrounding areas.

Everton is also home to several parks and green spaces, including Everton Park and Netherfield Road North Park. Everton Park is a large public park that offers stunning views of the city of Liverpool and the River Mersey. The park features a range of facilities, including a sports centre, a children's playground, and a nature garden. Netherfield Road North Park is a smaller park that is popular with local residents for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful flower gardens.
